How sad is this?

Good start, but then it gets ruined

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Blistering performances.

This film embodies almost everything I don't watch an Indian movie for. If I watch an Indian movie I want to see either Indian song & dance entertainment, Indian scenery, an Indian political drama, or and Indian crime drama. Keyword: Indian. As in... takes place in India, I see India, I learn something about India, I get to enjoy Indian pop culture. I do not wish to see Berlin, London , Bangkok, Paris, Zurich, etc. I do not wish to see blonde babes dancing. I do not wish to see dancers in western, urban clothing. I do not want rap. Not all those faults are in this particular film, but those that are are dominant. Shahrukh Kahn pretending he is Tom Cruise? Gimme a break. I'd rather see him in a sari. Two stars for the explosions.

Well, after long five years Farhan Akhtar risks himself into a zone of sequels which most directors use to avoid or if they do, either most of them get fail to deliver quality or else in least cases their film go a rare successful. Farhan's film gets in none of the case. Well, Farhan is a profound thinker and he thinks well before he makes any movie. Right from Dil Chahta Hai to Lakshya to Don, none of his films got beaten at the box office and critics were right on his side. All the three films of his were variety of concepts and little does one know how versatile he'd be to make all such movies very effectively. In the case of Don 2, he's got content, efficient style for which Don series has to deliver power packed performances. But what lacks is style overcomes substance too much that thrill gets subsequently less. Of course, Don series is quite different from other Bollywood action movies which got no soul, but Don could be and should be compared to many other Hollywood movies that deliver quality thriller movies. If not the same, Don is James Bond of Bollywood. If suspense gets more thicker, and plots a bit wiser along with the quality of styles put in, Don gets to become another James Bond. And I seriously mean it. Farhan Akhtar, if worked meticulously on the script, Bollywood can produce another James Bond film. That said, performance by most of the same actors are good. Shahrukh as Don thrills again. Boman Irani got another major role and he's good at it. Priyanka Chopra as fiercely cop is amazing to watch. Om Puri in a minor role is good. Kunaal Kapoor is worth to watch in an unexpected role. If Farhan goes for a third installment, he has to work curiously on its story. Hr has to think big is he's eyeing a worldwide release of Don 3.

After watching this movie I thought whether this movie was the best. Actually, it's not. This film is not even as entertaining as SRK's previous blockbuster entertainer Ra.One. This film Don 2 is a bit slow with some overacting in the first half, but eventually as the second half starts to unfold, this film comes with pretty interesting surprises.The action,music,dialogues,locations are all perfect but what keeps you to the edge of the seat is the screenplay,especially in the second half. It can be said that the second half is the highlight of the movie. SRK is real hero of the movie who steals hearts as well. The fights,as I described,are the best ones for an action thriller movie. The plot unfolds in such a way that will leave everyone astonished.On the whole,Don 2 is an action thriller flick that will thrill although after the first half, but will not leave you disappointed. It is a good movie and I don't wish it was better as I am satisfied with what it is. Go,watch it.
