It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.
The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
I loved this film - It is so sweet and it plays really well - Delta Burke is so cute in it and she looks really good. The character which she plays fits perfectly with her appearance and personality, I had never heard of her before but she really stood out in this movie. It is a real feel good movie.. It is a family movie but I think that it would appeal to everyone kids and adults alike. The way the movie deals with some issues but not heavily is perfect for family viewing. It also has laughs and heartwarming parts. I recommend it - I watched it one evening while doing housework and it made me smile a lot :)I recommend it :)
After watching this movie, you'd want your own Dayo as well. Who wouldn't? Someone beside you at all times, always there to comfort, advise and help you, like a pre-pubescent guardian angel. A heartwarming story that unlike others, does not have a soppy ending in which everything becomes hunky-dory (it does, but doesn't give you that feeling) without too much effort. A definite must for the whole family snuggled by the fire.
