Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

a film about ambiguity of perceptions. about illusions. and about self definition. decent, provocative, dark. reasonable because it gives not more than you expect. a young man and his different lives. a bizarre past. and a sin who becomes more and more real. the past as a piece of clay. and the fight to be yourself, to preserve / discover the line between real and fiction. short, a must see for the fans of thrillers with few psychological nuances. or soft film from a genre who remains remarkable for few real great movies . for admirers of Ryan Philippe is a good option. for the interest of the relations between brothers a wise choice . short, a nice film.

This is one of those movies you'll spend in awe of how utterly stupid the main character is. Constantly making dumb decisions not because of honest mistakes, but because the writers couldn't think of how to continue the poor excuse for a plot without him constantly buggering up.Alone in a room with a woman who has a single copy of evidence of your crimes, shows it to you, and you let her walk out and continue blackmailing you. You've seen first hand how your brother died, yet when given the opportunity to walk away you follow the exact same steps that led to his death in the first place. What's most shocking is that this waste of film was written by the same guy that did the fantastic Identity.Massive waste of time.

Imagine waking up in the hospital after an accident, not knowing what happened, and then realizing that it's two years later than you thought it was. That is the dilemma faced by Simon Cable in The I Inside. This ambitious thriller has you piecing together the puzzle along side it's star Ryan Phillippe. The I Inside jumps around, far too much, between past, present, and future to tell it's story, a story that you really won't care about. It's a very uninteresting tale, that is told to you a piece at a time and to be honest, that's why you watch the film. It's confusing and not very good, but once you've invested the time, you want to know what happens. Ryan Phillippe was Brilliant as Simon Cable, proving that it really isn't all about the looks, he can act too, but again it's wasted talent in a very uninteresting tale. Phillippe is paired with Sarah Polley, who I absolutely love, the fact that she was in this film, is what put it on my radar, but she easily gives the worst performance of her career. Yes, the story wasn't very well written, but if everyone had put the energy into their roles that Phillippe did, the film would have at least had some credibility. The films Director is Roland Richter, was directing his first film in the United States. I don't know about movies in Germany, but here in the United States, if you're going to release a jumpy, confusing film, you'd had better make the story worth while. Richter fails to do that and the result is a slow, confusing film, that has you asking, "is that it? Really?" The I Inside is unique and will make you think, but the story being told, really isn't worth the time it takes to piece it all together.

"When Simon (Ryan Phillippe) awakens in the hospital after surviving a near-fatal accident, amnesia has erased the last two years from his memory. He learns that his brother (Robert Sean Leonard) was killed, he has married a woman he doesn't remember (Piper Perabo)… and he's haunted by strange visions of the woman he loved (Sarah Polley). Soon, he starts to uncover the truth behind his brother's death and unravel the unbelievable turns his life has taken…" Actually (or perhaps not…), Mr. Phillippe falls in love with his estranged brother's fiancée (Ms. Polley), which results in a violent confrontation - and, an even more tragic car accident, involving all three. Roland Suso Richter's direction of Michael Cooney's "Point of Death" is intriguing, engrossing, and imaginatively plotted. But, the ending does not really fulfill the film's promises - and, the lead character's relationships with both brother and lover lack passion. Still, it's more good than not.****** The I Inside (2003) Roland Suso Richter ~ Ryan Phillippe, Piper Perabo, Sarah Polley
