I love this movie so much
Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Best movie ever!
A brilliant film that helped define a genre
I have a bit of a problem where I tend to voice my thoughts when watching a movie or show or video in the company of others. Usually whoever else is in attendance when I do so gets rightfully annoyed. When we were forced to watch this dogsht in class, not a single person was even slightly annoyed with my running commentary. Not even the teacher. Characters - There aren't really characters in this movie. Just actors who have been given no direction. Every line delivery is terrible and unconvincing. None of the acting is even marginally ok. This was clearly written by someone who doesn't understand how teenagers act. All of the characters act like complete morons. Its very cringy and bad. None of the characters are even somewhat likeable. Plot - The plot is very weak. The whole conflict is created due to a teenager not knowing what the "block" button means. I understand that cyberbullying can be a problem, but this movie makes it look like a joke. If the main character was intelligent and actually tried to stop what was happening but the bully was doing something like creating new accounts, then I might've been sympathetic towards her. Too bad the actor is terrible and is playing an unlikable and moronic character. This movie is full of cliches and stupid plot devices that for the most part make no sense. Social Media - This movie creates a fake site called "Clicksters" and its actually kinda funny. Stupid and cringy, but kinda funny. Sights and Sounds - The cinematography and sound mixing for this movie is terrible.
It tries to be a movie with a good message but it ignores the MAJOR points of cyberbullying and constantly shouts out the lie that it's always the internet that does it and never the people actually bullying them. It's obviously written by people who have never actually used social media and that is proven by the fact that they never think of reporting or blocking the people who bully them as you can do on Facebook and several other social media sites. Honestly, the only reason people try to defend it is because it tries to shine some light on cyberbullying so they don't care if it's horrible.
Everything about this movie is bad. I think that the acting was it's best quality and even that was some of the worst I've ever seen. Exaggerated and lacking in every way, the script dragged on using many scenes of only music to lazily show she was becoming more and more distraught. Throughout the entire film i was waiting for her to punch the leader of the bully girls in the face, which would actually solve the problem or at least make her feel empowered instead of pathetic.I made this IMDB account specifically to review this movie because I disliked it so much
I don't even know where to start with this film. I don't feel the need to describe the plot in detail because from the title, it's pretty self explanatory, it's about a teen girl who ends up getting made fun of online. The main character Taylor (Emily Osment), is one of the most unlikable protagonists I've ever seen in any movie, she's extremely annoying as well. We're supposed to feel sorry for her, but she's so unlikable to the point where we don't really care. The acting is horrendous and this film is a horrible, and very unrealistic depiction of bullying. If you want to save 2 hours, don't watch this movie, it's terrible. That's all I have to say about Cyberbully. Emily Osment should really consider taking acting lessons from her brother. 1/10.
