Such a frustrating disappointment

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

As a movie, this is successful because it includes many kinds of genre such as, human drama, action, society, and non fiction, so audience does not easy to get board. While this movie is based on the actual story about Noom Tong, the story plot is well constructed so I misunderstand Hollywood made this. Even though this movie seems Hollywood model, it not just easy entertainment because it illustrates the transgender problem which is controversial, so audience consider transgender people's right.Noom Tong is a transgender boxer, and he grew up surrounded by comprehensive people. When he was child, he had such kind of sexual identity and is bullied. While his father is not formative for Noom's identity, he does not charge it and said anything about it. To make separate from the public community, they let he go monk school. Boxing is school too. While some people is against to his gender role, they are kind, so no body reject him.Thus he does not hide the thing even after he could make money as a boxer.Japan scene is was impressive for me because it describe how much Japanese people love the groupie things. He feel like he was treated as a pie lo, and this makes him decide to get surgery.

Beautiful boxer is a great trans-gender film, and I enjoy watching the film very much. Since it is based on true story, I can understand trans-gender people's mind and behavior more. The way of the film portrays is amazing, and Toom has perfectly shows his struggle of being a professional boxer or a "real" woman. Toom has wanted to become a girl since he was young, and it is surprised to see that he could play boxing in such a professional level. Since boxing is extremely manly sport, it is hard to imagine a man who is feminine in the ring. However, Toom does not care how other people's point of view and decide to wear make-up in the ring. In addition, he has become a famous boxer in Thai. The film is trying to tell people that do not give up easily for your dream and desire. In addition; society should respect trans-gender people's ability and right. This film is recommended for everyone since the film is based on true story, and people should learn how to accept and respect the people such as Toom in the society.

The Beautiful Boxer is a Thai drama based on the real life of Nong Thoom, a transgender Muay Thai boxer. It follows his struggles as a transgender and his problems he faces with family, as a Muay Thai boxer, and the Media's sensational focus on his identity. This film is full of insightful human drama and with sometimes comedic element that really captures the innocence of Nong Thoom to follows his destiny and finds his place in society. The gender of Nong Thoom is clearly portrayed throughout his life and his passion for the beauty of Muay Thai boxing. The two seem to not go together and creates his struggles with the industry and the prejudice that attacks with his character. As he becomes more comfortable in his own skin, he realizes through the media's attention that he is not truly accepted by society. The film succeeds in portraying the balance Nong Thoom's mentality as a woman and his physical need to be a woman. Stereotypes towards transgenders and transsexuals in Thai are also shown. Although their identities are quite known in mainstream culture, they are not "accepted" or respected as other "standard genders". The film also focuses on the childhood of Nong Thoom, and sends a particularly strong element to understand the motif and psychology behind his "decision" to be a woman, merely to show that it is what he is destined to be.
