Enroute a double cross has one of the thieves parachute with the loot into an abandoned farm surrounded by strange scarecrows. The rest of the team jump after their loot and their former partner. I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
It feels like they couldn't decide between making an action or a horror movie. Sometimes it also feels like they try to bend the story to match a specific scene. They should have used Bergmans motto: "kill your darling" and cut out some of the "talking" -scenes that doesn't fit in or move the story forward. The main actors couldn't deliver a line if their life depended on it. Try not to smile next time you scream Help! and Stop! And I really hate when they feel the need to set the scene with lines such as; it feels scary! instead of letting the scene play out more naturally and give the actors some more room to act? Several times it actually felt like I was watching two or three movies at the same time. I really liked the sound and music score though.
I was quite surprised by how much I liked this film. Generally I am not much of a fan of these sort of characters. I would have preferred if they were college kids or something. Not because of any nudity stuff but because I have seen quite a few movies with these type of characters (for eg.Predator). Btw these are robbers dressed in military fatigues.I did think maybe there was some overuse of music for a film like this. But the movie in general has none of the 80s cheesiness. It all seems fairly competent work unlike the dozens of crappy low budget crap in the 80s. The acting is pretty good too. I loved the female character, quite surprised to see she has only 1 acting credit.Great atmosphere throughout.I loved it, 8/10
This is yet another first time watch. Its' started of little slow first, then get be intruding, there were really good creepy moment from the scarecrows.I liked how they turned the humans into scarecrows as a well, I did not expect that at all,There were some really bloody moments in this movie but the rest of the movie felt a little bland. This movie was a little to Dark in some scenes, you could not make it out what going on and the acting in this movie from the most of the cast was really poor, the girl worst of them all.5 out of 10 Not bad.
Alright... this is some classic Sunday afternoon movie action. It's cheesy, it's a little creepy (sometimes really creepy), and basically what an 80's horror flick needs to be!It's far from top end, and far from well written, but it's fun. With a bit more of a budget, it could have spawned a bunch of terrible and equally implausible sequels. Actually, it probably should spawn a bunch of terrible sequels, with the better effects we have today...If you like the cheese, and if you like the goofiness that made 80's horror what it is, you'll like this movie. If you're looking for a dramatic crime/horror combo, this will probably leave you disappointed. Have fun calling the kills and wondering who's going to make it out alive!
