Three months have passed since a viral outbreak wiped out 99.9% of the world's population, turning its victims into flesh-eating living dead. In the UK, a surviving band of soldiers and civilians have taken refuge at a rural military barracks. Life in this new world is tough and brutal, but hope appears when a high level communication is received from a military base on the coast, telling of sanctuary elsewhere in Europe... But just as salvation appears to be in reach, the base suffers an overwhelming defeat at the hands of the living dead! The surviving handful of troops and civilians must now make their way to the coast to uncover the truth behind the message. Their perilous journey takes them across a now treacherous, death-ravaged landscape, where the living dead are vast in number and wandering bandits impose their own malicious sense of law and order. What follows is a journey into hell and a desperate battle against all odds for the very survival of the human race

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I love zombie movies. I hate that annoying hand held herky-jerky motion, especially with night vision discoloration. This film has that stuff, including the opening with a "REC" up in the corner, which was held steadier than the main part of the film. This is the fourth month of the zombie (referred to as "those things" in the film). It is a viral disease and not actually people rising from the dead walking while dragging a leg, just slow moving infected people who eat other people...but not each other. There are pockets of survivors held up in military camps. This one particular camp is attacked by zombies. They escape (along with the guy with the camera) and a woman reporter who is slightly crazy, but not a zombie.HEY! Put the camera down and shoot something with a gun! This movie takes place in England.Their plan is to travel through the forest to minimize zombie contact, head for the town of Hope, on the east coast and team up with another group of supposed survivors. From there, head to Holland where there exists a large colony of uninfected people. The military is disliked by the civilians because of their role in the outbreak cleansing. They encounter zombies and other group of civilian survivors on their quest. F-bomb, nudity, rape, and irony at the end.

Rape culture film ~ nothing to do with zombies. I expect far more from the UK, firstly. Talk about a director and writers twisted pathos coming out in film! What a freaking waste of film. And the actors, you should all be .ashamed of themselves for doing such a bloody, heinous film! Could you have come up with something other than 20 minutes of taking advantage of a woman and the mentally challenged when the world is coming to an end ? You had to take care of the mighty hard on? You honestly think people want to sit and watch a woman get raped when there are zombies around? What was the point of the film ? What's with the camera man ? Do you know what focus is ? Seriously some of the biggest load of rubbish I have had witness to in years! Get it together people!

I am a big fan of the genre, however this was a terrible effort. A sequel to a narrowly passable film. Full of poor acting, plot holes and is hard to watch physically and mentally. Shot in night vision for some part (very poorly shot) made the first half and the ending part hard to watch. A group of poor acted thugs, depicting disturbing scenes of rape and murder, this is zombie horror, somehow it begins to border on being a disturbing snuff film. Also the original idea is the hand-held camera is on too keep track of the post apocalyptic world, when under heavy zombie attack, murderous gangs and other peril i doubt there would be a semi steady handed guy filming.

I must admit, I picked up this movie because I was attracted by its cover art. Although the cover art has no relation to the movie, I still found the movie somewhat entertaining. For those who enjoy shaky cam films such as Cloverfield, Blair Witch Project, Apollo 18, then the camcorder effect shouldn't bother you. I have not seen the first one after reading mixed reviews about it, so I decided to watch this one randomly. The story is not all that bad, and after reading reviews of this film and the first one, a few characters from the first film returned in the second, trying to connect the stories. For a horror film, there weren't really any scenes to make you jump or anything. If there were any scenes that were supposed to scare you, then they were expected to come. Philip Brodie as Maddox, Rob Oldfield as Jonesy, and Russell Jones as Goke were good actors for a low budget film. The rest of the cast weren't that bad as well, their acting was convincing enough for me. All in all, try not to watch this movie with high expectations of an awesome, scary zombie film, because that will probably just ruin the experience for you. If you're a zombie lover like me, then give this movie a shot.
