Waste of time
It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
A "bro"-saying Hispanic classic. Adrienne Bailon plays Chanel, a sweet, ghetto Latina who desires to be famous. She's a very sweet girl as well, like most Nuyorican girls I know, I'm Nuyorican. Sabrina Bryan is also talented as well, and who can forget Raven Simone. But I love Adrianne Bailon the most. That's besides the point. Yeah the story is a bit cheesy, but this one was a good one, and I wouldn't be surprised if it won some awards. Much better than "High School Musical," it is cute and touching. A story of loyalty and friendship. It's a nice Hispanic movie. For all you guys who want a nice movie with hot girls, see this one, you won't be let down :D
I don't care about what any one says. If you think the Cheetah Girls are bad in the movie or it is a bad.... You're CRAZY Now i watch this movie every time it comes on and i have the movie. Guess what i am 13 years old. You know if you LISTEN you will want your children to watch this when you get older. You know this movie is all about Not judging people, sticking with your friends and being there for your friends in their time of need. I have watched this since it came out basically 4 years ago. I recently just watched it and found a moral that no one even mentioned and hit on except in the movie. When Dorinda says "You should be thankful that you have a mom." You should be thankful of what you have. I feel so sorry for people like Dorinda and i think of how i would hate to be one. If you listen you will understand how being a foster child plays into the movie. It tells you why her clothes aren't so great and what this chance means to her. Plus Chanel bought the vest because she wanted it. Yes she said one of us had to have it but Dorinda didn't ask. Also another moral is if your friends don't like you because of where you live or who your parents are they are NOT your friends. That is how Chanel conferting Dorinda the way she did. Dorinda was scared to tell them the truth about her life because she was scared they wouldn't be there friend or kick her out of The Cheetah Girls. That is why Chanel was like your a cheetah girl because of who you are and what's on the inside is what counts. That is what i think about the Cheetah Girls. They did and EXCELLENT job and should be proud of it.!!!!!!!!!!! Plus do you know how much respect they have for this movie?!!!!!!111
Most of this movie is totally unrealistic-- (besides the unlikely plot, the girls wear couture and are perfectly coiffed and made up at all times), but there is something about this movie that transcends the usual saccharine crap they try to spoon feed kids. The 4 girls are of varying ethnicities, and have varied backgrounds, talents and personalities. They get annoyed with each other, self advocate and are able to make mistakes and learn from them. Their friendship endures despite problems they experience, and the girls stay true to themselves throughout. It is a refreshing alternative to the movies that promote the message that girls get ahead by being passive or sexually objectified. A lot of this movie seemed so far fetched as to be ridiculous, but the characters were strong, talented and independent.
I like the Movie, i think it was very good, and it had a great style of singing and i really like the movie a lot, i can not wait to see the second movie. I think that they are all very good singers and i can not wait to see what will happen in the next one, i never had read the series of the books, but, i think that the movies are very good, i think that the four girls are amazing singers. I hope that the cheetah girls never ever brake up, because if they do, that will make the whole movie really unfortunate, but, i really do not think that the cheetah girls will at all break, up, i hope they do not, but, i do not know, but, if they did, that would be really, really upsetting, so, i hope that they do not break up.
