100 Girls
Matthew, a college freshman, meets his dream girl in a dorm elevator during a blackout. He never sees her face, but instantly falls in love. In the morning, the power is restored, but the "dream girl" has vanished. All Matthew knows is that she lives in an all-girls dorm. He sets out on a semester-long journey to find his mystery girl among a hundred female suspects. Could it be Wendy? Dora? Arlene? Patty? Cynthia? Or the 95 other girls, any of whom could have been in that elevator with Matthew.

Such a frustrating disappointment
Just perfect...
Beautiful, moving film.
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Matt is an ordinary teenager who accidentally finds himself with a girl in an elevator during a blackout. There, he falls in love with her but unfortunately, he's completely unaware of her identity. Now, he must find her between 100 girls before the end of school otherwise he might lose her forever. We follow Matt throughout the whole movie in his weird attempt of finding the girl of his dreams which proves to be a lot harder than he thought (although she's right under his nose the whole time). It's a very romantic movie which inevitable teaches us loads of stuff about both boys and girls, how they see each other, what they want from each other and most important, how they are able to love each other. An interesting story which proves to be quite addictive and provides an unexpected ending (at least for me). I surely recommend it, especially to teens. Enjoy!
Well, I guess we all thought it was gonna be an American Pie part II, with the same old sex jokes and the never ending paranoia about hot girls. "100 Girls" is away from this kind of movie. Matthew is an apparently insecure guy that is looking for the girl of his dreams. He isn't able to find her, but at least he spends time meeting other girls. Nothing that he does is particularly interesting, actually it's a shame the film is so out of action. However, in many scenes we have interesting thoughts involving men/women, sexism and life. The classroom scenes with that feminist teacher is really wise and funny, I know many girls who think like that-- I'm a guy and I also agree with some of those ideas. The film just isn't better because of its lack of 'action' scenes, which made it look too light for the audience it's been made for. In fact, I believe this film works better with late teens and young adults than with real teens.
Not a terribly great movie, but I'd honestly recommend it. Not because the story was great, it isn't. Not because the acting was fabulous. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar. What the movie did have going for it was honesty and reality. I can clarify too much without giving the ending(s) away, but situations would come up and for a few minutes, it would progress just like any other movie, then they would backtrack, pointing out that life doesn't happen that way, then show it the way it really happens. There is dialog concerning real-life problems that movies generally don't acknowledge. It is billed as a comedy, and it was funny, but I enjoyed it for the subject matter. We'll all being talking about men vs. women till the end of time, most of us will never make it to a point of real understanding, but I appreciate when somebody (in this case the writer/director) gives it an honest attempt. If you are stuck without something to watch, consider this one.
on the plus side, there are some interesting lines and the plot was semi original to the point you wanted to find out who the girl in the elevator was. So it kept you watching, i'll give it that- it also attempts to tackle in as fair a way as possible the relationship between a man and a woman, plus peoples insecurities. Thats as much as i'll give it. The main character seemed to be taken from the Dawsons Creek book of characters, he spoke in ridiculous dialogue of philosophies and attempted psycho-analysis of the sexes at every given moment. Whether he's in a girls panties drawer or playing fusball. He didn't come across as enlightening, he came across as self-absorbed and cringeingly annoying. Don't worry by the end of the film, he solved men and womens insecurities; brought people together; arrested the evil rapist man; outed his best friend (the girl from 'Alice Mack'); was a woman for a few days and found out how 'violated' he/she felt when looked at by a guy, and found enlightening things about women; single handedly conquered a female studies class- due to enlightening the world that there being too many 'isms' in the world; saved his room mate from his insecurity; and declared to 100women in a dorm about what a perfect boyfriend he'd be- making them all call his name oh and found his girl in the elevator....all in a days work for our conquering hero. Thats basically as simplistic as it got- he was all things to all people-literally. This move was ridiculously over simplistic and infuriatingly self-absorbed, but i guess you gotta give the guy an A for effort... This is a move to cure insomnia and nothing else.
