It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

This almost feels as if a Schizophrenic was getting Alzheimers. Maybe it is a parody on the movie industry. However, when we work to show a purpose for living, I believe Sir Anthony is looking in vain if all there is to life is time. We are better than that. Movies portray the greatness of man and man at his worst. Each one of us touches other human beings and movie makers can make people think or let people escape. While this film may make one think, it is very confusing and it bounces off the wall. Great movies such as "The Lion in the Winter" was complicated, showed human weakness and human spirit. Sir Hopkins' role as the writer in this is just too strange to wrap one's mind around and understand. I could not escape nor could I relate to the characters with my life experiences. Therefore, I cannot rate this film highly.

I was tempted to give this movie a one out of ten, but it did at least have a few original ideas, so I gave it a two. It was just truly awful, a complete waste of time.I watched this move with my wife, and she was bored before the end of the opening credits. I have a bit more patience than that, but by the time you're 2/3 of the way into the movie, you just can't wait for it to end. It's not that you're wondering how it's going to end, because that is painfully obvious after 20 minutes, it's that you want the suffering to end. There is *no* suspense. The plot is entirely predictable. There are a lot of cool effects. Or at least, there are a lot of effects that would have been cool had they been used in a way that served the plot. But they just don't.There are long stretches in the movie where it's obvious that time is just being wasted. One scene spins interminably as we see different characters all shooting at nothing in particular. *Nobody* gets hit by any of these bullets despite the fact that they're all in the same room and have clear lines of fire. It's nauseating and nonsensical. This scene bears no relationship to the plot at all, apparently, they just wanted to show us that they could make a camera spin.I could give more examples, but there's no point. Just don't watch the movie and save yourself two hours of your life.

What could I expect of a movie with Sean Astin in the lead role of a scientist? I have just watched "Slipstream" and I am amazed how awful this movie is: it is incoherent, with bad acting, full of holes in the screenplay and with some of the worst dialogs I have ever heard in a film. I read the excellent lead review from smash016 called "Mere pretentiousness" that practically exposes and summarizes everything I wanted to say about this crap, in a very funny style. As a movie lover, I usually try to see the good and positive points of a movie, but in "Slipstream" I have nothing good to highlight. Do not waste your time and money with this garbage. My vote is two.Title (Brazil): "Contra o Tempo" ("Against the Time")

Oh, that was a really bad film. I like sci-fi very much, but this one... this is not sci-fi, this is a low-budget, low-story, low-acting "low-film". During watching the film I was waiting for something good, a good scene, a new idea, or... something. Unfortunately the end credits came before I found anything like this. Such a bad plot, the conversations... how could somebody write it down and make a film from it? Did he/she mean it really? I don't understand why such films are born, and why the people like it. Maybe I'am wrong, or something. If you want to absolutely rest your brain and see something dumb, without humor, without actions or drama, then this is your film, go for it.
