Admirable film.
The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
This is one of the most god awful movies ever. Sony animations is running out of ideas, or they just suck
I saw this movie to see how bad it was and it was a terrible, terrible mistake. This movie is basically what would happen if you put Inside Out, Wreck it Ralph, crap, garbage, and an iPhone in a blender, then put it it in the oven, took out the result, nuke it, then put the ashes back in the oven, and the emoji movie comes out. Do not watch this movie! Ever!
Rated 10 stars; a fabulous movie, full of fun, tension, good story - you can actually feel for the emojis as the story progresses. Excellent Characterization, Scripting and superb Animation. This is a fun watch, and can be watched repeatedly....
MORE REVIEWS AT booksequalhappiness.blogspot.comREVIEW: I really don't know why many people hated this movie. I honestly enjoyed it though maybe because I wasn't at the mood to over think stuff when I watched it. It was just a simple movie with a simple story and I found it quite fun. I really liked the animation. I found it bright and entertaining. I also loved high-five so I enjoyed his humor even if it was corny.SHOULD YOU WATCH IT: If you want something bright and very light, yes. WOULD I WATCH IT AGAIN: Probably not. Unless I want to show it to someone else.
