Save the Last Dance 2
Sara joins Julliard in New York to fulfill her and her mother's dream of becoming the Prima ballerina of the school. She befriends her roommates, Zoe and Miles, who teach hip-hop classes. She has ballet classes with the rigid and famous Monique Delacroix that she idolizes - Monique requires full commitment, discipline and hard work from her students. When Miles, who is a composer, invites Sara to help him compose the music for the dance choreography Sara's passion for hip-hop is sparked and she also falls in love with Miles. When she is assigned to perform Giselle in an important event, she feels divided between the technique of the ballet and the creative work offered by Miles.

That was an excellent one.
I'll tell you why so serious
As Good As It Gets
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
I don't remember anything about "Save the Last Dance", so I can evaluate this film on its own merits and not try to compare it. Still, once I read that Julia Stiles had been in the original I did remember she was very good, one of those actresses I like so much her name makes me want to watch whatever she is in, and I couldn't really compare Izabella Miko to her.But as I watched this, Miko was certainly good enough at acting and an excellent dancer. I can't say how good she is at hip-hop dancing because she had a stunt dancer according to the credits. Sara is rebellious but has to keep her impulses in check because she has to succeed at ballet. Still, she refuses to give up on making a difference in hip-hop, helping other dancers who can't seem to get it right without her.Several acting performances really stand out. Jacqueline Bisset is amazing. Intimidating, demanding, but also caring.Columbus Short doesn't disappoint as a teacher and ultimately romantic interest for Sara who sees a lot of potential in her, but his failed to live up to his own because he doesn't like being boxed in. He doesn't want that for Sara either.Aubrey Dollar is cute as Sara's roommate and provides much-needed comic relief.Tre Armstrong doesn't have much to do but her character really rhymes with witch. There was more potential for her which wasn't met, but her anger and jealousy add something.Yes, there is a formula here. This is JUILLIARD; what was he expecting? Our heroine is so talented she can get away with anything. And does. She may get the big part, but only if someone gets hurt. But she has the chance to make up for it in the end. Does she? I'll let you watch.
Having quite enjoyed the first movie this second one felt like it was cheap and rushed. The main character of Sara being played by a different actress was the first thing that threw me off, and I had a hard time pretending it was the same character. The plot dealt with pretty much the same issues as the first movie, being into ballet then finding Hip Hop.. um, didn't she already do that in the first movie? It felt like they were just repeating what had already happened instead of continuing the journey. Columbus Short made the movie for me, didn't really know that much of him before but loved his performance and he was a likable character. The dancing didn't seem nearly as good in this movie either, and I'm assuming that is down to the editing rather than the actually choreography. I know they used some of the same choreographers (Rich & Tone) as they did in the first movie. Not sure how many they had though. The battle between Sara and Candy seemed way too staged and didn't give the image of a real club battle to me. The first film had quite a gritty vibe to it whereas this film was a lot lighter but less believable.I wouldn't say don't watch the movie because there are good parts, but don't expect anything like the first film.
OK well i definitely think that they should have stuck with Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas. They would have looked so much better in save the last dance 2.Izabella Miko was to Gothic to be Sara i didn't like how when she was in the "pit" she was very Gothic and it did not look like something Sara Johnson would were. And one more thing when Sara and mille are walking in the park her boot steps are WAY to loud you can barley hear them talk.Oand what about Zoe what was her point in the movie any way? at least Chenille was there to help people along the way and she got a point across that it doesn't matter who you love as long as they love you back. I done now.
Sarah Johnson had a lot of talent before her mother died but gained a lot more talent having to live in the Chicago ghetto (A lot of talented people come from the ghetto). Sarah gained the talent to dance hip-hop, even to use it in one of her audition dances for Julliard. Sarah was caught in a dilemma of choosing ballet or hip-hop and she finally felt in her heart that performing hip-hop was better than trying to be a famous ballerina. She had a new lover, new friends and a new life. There is no interracial problem but she does have a new black boyfriend (last one dropped he for his scholarship. The basic story is did she make a mistake going for Julliard.
