Frankenfish
When the body of a man is found completely destroyed in the swamps in Louisiana, the medical investigator Sam Rivers is assigned to investigate the murder. He travels with the biologist Mary Callahan to the location where the victim lived in a floating house and he meets his family and friends. They find that Chinese snake-heads genetically engineered that belong to a wealthy hunter are attacking and killing the locals. While the group fights to survive, the hunter Jeff arrives with his team to hunt the predators.

Am i the only one who thinks........Average?
Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
I really cannot understand why people compare it with Tremors or Jaws. Even for B-movie lovers as me and my family, Frankenfish is a disaster. It's very slow moving, boring and illogical. The voodoo sorcerer could have been interesting, but after all she actually did not play any meaningful role in the movie, and the audience is not sure if she really could protect people from the Frankenfishes or it was just what she believed she was able to do. Why the fishes are "made (= bred) in China" is not clear, either. The mad gun-lover and the need to come to another house without touching the ground / water are taken from Tremors, but here all this looks very far-fetched. Even Carnosaur 3 was much, much better. The jumping man-eating fishes are quite OK, but I would like more fish and less talk.
"Frankenfish" (ugh!) is a pretty good Creature Feature, starring a cast of lesser lights who do pretty well. The only cast members I recognized (Muse Watson who played Agt. Mike Franks (Rtd.) on "NCIS") gets killed off early, and Thomas Arana starts late. Probably helps with budget control. Interestingly (to me at least), three of the actors are from Louisiana. The lead females, Misses Aubert and Chow are both attractive, although Miss Chow's role is cut short by a (more than most) bizarre incident. The fish aren't bad, either. An out of town (but initially local) medical examiner (Sam Rivers played by Tory Kittles) and a Fish and Wildlife officer (Mary Callahan played by China Chow) set out into the Louisiana swamp in a small (12 foot, maybe) john boat to investigate the cause of a dismembered corpse. As the two, strangers to one another, motor away with their 10 horse put put, one says to the other "Looks like we have a four or five hour trip." You have to be thankful movie characters never have to pee. They meet up with Elmer (Mike Franks) who takes them back to the "village" where the dismembered corpse once resided, a collection of three houseboats moored in close proximity. Subsequently, Elmer takes the intrepid pair off to an abandoned motor launch where the trouble begins. Elmer gets et by the creature. Sam and Mary return to the moorage. The creature follows. Things go down hill rapidly from this point on. The cast gets smaller and smaller.Lots of action. Lots of gore. Lots of cast gulped down. On the whole well done and fun, as much as a creature feature can be. Oh, and the ending is mondo!
It is very very poor movie.Badly written, amateur acting, badly directed, with poor CGI,but with some funny jokes.IT has some funny end entertaining moments. The actors are unknown and they aren't good at all. Some people like this trashy C movies and i would recommend this movie to them.I like horror movies, but THIS IS NOT a horror movie. It is is SCI-FI/ACTION/comedy movie.I haven't seen a funny film like this for a long, long time.It was not a complete waste of time because it was funny and occasionally entertainment. But if you are looking for a good movie don't watch this at any cost, because this is a very bad movie with very bad actors and a small budget
Oh come on you whiners, grow up ! This movie has a big B written all over. What is the point comparing it to first rate blockbusters ? If one takes it for what it really is, one gets a hour and a half of very decent entertainment. So instead of stating the obvious (cheesy script, second-rate acting, low budget sfx, etc), I'll try to summarize what made this flick worth watching IMHO:a bunch of picturesque bayou weirdos (especially the white rasta crack-head and shell-shocked viet vet) pretty good creature design and animation a couple of imaginative death scenes amusing means of getting rid of the nasty critters as it has been already pointed out, black heroes a pace that (barely, but still) allows the action to stay ahead of plot inconsistencies decent comic relief character good lighting and general image qualityAll in all, a very decent B movie.
