I Spit on Your Grave III: Vengeance Is Mine
Jennifer Hills is still tormented by the brutal sexual assault she endured years ago. She’s changed identities and cities, reluctantly joining a support group where she begins to piece together a new life. But when her new friend’s murderer goes free and the tales of serial rapists haunt her, Jennifer will hunt down the men responsible and do what the system won’t – make them pay for their crimes in the most horrific ways imaginable. Only this time, no jury may be able to save her.

The Worst Film Ever
Simply Perfect
Sadly Over-hyped
Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Let me just get right to it. I'm not a huge fan of this series, this and the first are the only ones I've seen. But I'll be honest, I was only seeing this for Sarah Butler. This one was sort of better than the first, she's kind of like a vigilante which is kinda cool, but they could of put some action scenesin kinda like Death Wish. I mean I guess I could say some of the death scenes of her victims where alright. At least Sarah was fun to watch, speaking of fun to watch, she was super sexy in that red dress let me tell ya.Overall, I guess a could watch this again, like on a rainy day if I have nothing else to watch.I give it a 3/10. For me, it's just alright but I like Sarah Butler, and she's the only reason I would watch this again.
The difference between this and the other two is that Jennifer Hills has some complexity, but unfortunately The writer seems to have missed the point. Let's talk about the good first. This one definitely adds some sides to our protagonist. And there seems to be a somewhat decent twists, some good, some bad. One attempt of a killing is not so easy, which is good because there never is a issue in the other two. Now the negatives. The dialogue is flat out stupid, there is no subtleness whatsoever, and a few times where characters repeat the same exact thing worded differently like we can't tell the difference. Jennifer goes through a shift in Act 2 but as the story progresses we see that the attempted arcs I feel weren't done well in my opinion. One more thing, the ending was bad in my opinion for the fact that her personal issue which she had in the film never goes away, so what was the purpose of her journey?
I haven't seen the second "Spit" movie, but this is more of a sequel to the first one. And therefor you get a character which has evolved. It's up to the viewer to decide if for the better or worse. There are issues with Butlers character in this (how she acts after all that she did in part 1 for example), but the movie kinda cheats its way around that with all those daydream flashes that happen. You'll either like them, or think they're just a cheap trick to avoid making too much sense. It's still an interesting take on the character. And even though Ms. Butler still likes the first one better (because it put her out there, literally and metaphorically speaking), this is at least from the character perspective a much richer effort and movie ...
The directing in this film is excellent. The film editor moves from reality to fantasy to madness seamlessly. This content is exactly what you would expect from a brutalized woman. Marla's part in the film is brilliant. We a left with the notion that she was either breaking free finally or is hopelessly caught in her boyfriends web. Her friendship with Angela and then death leads Angela down a dark road of retribution. Marla's lines are crisp and "funny" ,believable from her character who is on the cusp of vengeance herself.she is a great counterpoint to Angela who has already reeked vengeance herself.the fantasy fight to the death at the end of the film leaves one yearning for SOYG4.all in all ,a great film. I think the best sequel to the series. One feels for Jennifer, from SOYG1,and you really want to see her overcome, but the film leaves you with the feeling that she is going to pay all men for the crimes of a few. I gave it an 8 because I reserve 10's for films like " papillion" or "titanic".
