I'll tell you why so serious
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
yes I know the movie is not a big Hollywood production but I still like it. The acting is so so but the story is good and the environment is awesome even tough the cgi is not the best. Its nice to watch a movie with no big Hollywood actor, the main actor is okay but miss a bit of personality. I love the Viking mythology and even tough Thor is usually not a bad guy in this movie he is a red hair mean dude loll. the only thing that its very bad its the fight scene, don't expect to much from it, its feel like a cheap TV series :) The costume are most likely the worst in this movie...but like I said its not a big production. Its the kind of movie you watch when you have nothing else to do and you feel like something not to brainy cause the dialog are....poor lollgive it a chance:)
This is no comparison to the big budget Thor movies but it wasn't meant to be. There are worse takes on Thor. There are two that make this look like it should get an Oscar. One with Zachary Ty Bryan which is atrocious then there's the one with Richard Grieco as Loki which is even worse. I watched because I have an affinity for Norse stories. I read every book on Norse mythology I could get my hands on growing up. I also like Dominic Purcell and Craig Fairbrass. I thought the guy playing Thor was miscast but then I didn't like the way they wrote the character. There was a mention in one review of why no mortal could touch Thor's hammer and then the main character did. The story told why - he was Thor's son so half god and could pick up the hammer. Also, in the mythology Thor isn't really very nice. He's arrogant and selfish. He's more the way Thor played by Chris Hemsworth is at the beginning of the first movie. All that aside the movie was OK. It is rather slow and dreary. They should have cut at least 30 minutes out and edited it better. It falls in the category I have for most movies - its not great but I've seen much worse unfortunately.
I couldn't believe how bad this was! Gee... copy the effects of 300 and we have a hit - NOT! Didn't make it past 10 minutes (which included credits, or should I say miscredits). Gargling with Drano would be preferable to watching this!!Oh Crap, IMDb wants 10 lines of drivel to post! (Plus all my INFO, first born, etc. No way!So, here's more crap to fill....I couldn't believe how bad this was!I couldn't believe how bad this was!I couldn't believe how bad this was!I couldn't believe how bad this was!
I have saw this movie and I think it is a good movie overall. I will not mention too much about visual effects just that the fighting scene blood effects looked a little cheap, but an aspect that can be easily overlooked. I am more impressed by a good storyline and good actors than visuals. I have seen movies labeled as BLOCKBUSTERS that where nothing more than bells and whistles. Even if this film has not the best visual effects, I personally liked the way the red color stood out. See Thor's hair and beard and the red clothing. It gave a "real" feel.I enjoyed the acting of all characters, except the guy who gets his eye popped out at the end. The character did not suited him, his voice lacked command. That guy should portray a king. He overacted in most of the scenes he has played. The story is a little interesting, I liked the twist the tale took when it turned out that the god that sent the protagonist into the land of the dead. However, everything happened too fast, and I think that is because of the script, which does not leave room for developing relationships between the characters, an important part in a movie or play. However, overlooking these little inadequacies, it is a good movie. I wish I could rate it higher, but I must keep some objectivity. It is a review after all.
