Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

This movie tries too hard to be about the 90's and fails miserably. It's annoying how Josh Peck's character says things like, "aight," "yo," "what up," and other words and phrases that middle class Caucasian boys do not usually use, which makes it obnoxious to listen to. The detachment of feelings and emotions from these characters makes it difficult to take the movie seriously (well any indie movie for that matter). What also bothered me is that Stephanie tells Shapiro that she's "done it" about a hundred times. Now I don't know about any of you guys, but I remember teens being less engaged in sex in the 90's than they are now. Being a virgin in high school up until college was not out of the norm - Having sex was. What is it about being a horrible emotionally detached person whose disconnected from reality and obsessed with sex drugs alcohol and smoking cigarettes that the liberals who make these independent films are so fond of? I don't get it, and I never will.

I can only say that this is a must-watch movie.I'm not the guy who likes romantic movies, but mixture of drama, comedy and romance here is just brilliant, it makes you feel those crush feelings from when you were a teenager again. Characters are so simple, yet very interesting, Josh Peck/Ben Kingsley/Olivia Thirlby trio really did magnificent job. I liked the soundtrack.Advice: It's an easy dinner, make yourself a good and quiet atmosphere when you are watching it.

I just finished watching the Wackness and I did enjoy the movie to a certain extent. It was basically a movie I could watch and sit through because of the plot points, but the movie basically should have been a porno with all the sex scenes it has. Josh Peck did a very good job on his acting skills and it was very different to see Josh Peck play a serious character. I want to see Josh Peck in more movies where he plays the serious character instead of the clumsy loser character he used to play on Drake and Josh. I think that the character of Luke was very intense and shows a lot about the life of a drug dealer suffering to make a change in his own life, and it was actually kind of surprising his own therapist bought drugs from his client. I thought it was a tear jerker on certain parts of the movie. I laughed a lot in this movie and really think this movie has nothing but drugs and sex. Basically Sex, Drugs, Eat, Repeat on this movie.

You know when you have a moment not in, but from your life? This is the moment if you were a teenager in the 90's. I'm not even a lover of hip-hop, I lean to metal/post-punk, but this, I don't need high school friends , sometimes I get lonely I guess, and then a tape, a motherf****** tape, goes in there, (either hip-hop or Nintendo), your heart stops, reboots, and your life reboots , younger, fuller, happier, facing yourself many years ago, this is a film that will teach you what you missed and what you've gained from the doing and not doing at the time. This is you, choosing your life at the time, and if outside of the loop, choosing your life before or after. Best teenager movie of all time.
