Best movie of this year hands down!
It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Don't listen to the negative reviews
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
While attending his brother's wedding, a serial womanizer is haunted by the ghosts of his past girlfriends. This movie is like Christmas Carol but instead of an old grumpy guy we get a guy obsessed with sex that was in a relationship with a really great girl and blew it up Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner alongside Michael Douglas give really good performances charming, funny and likable and it also shows an important message as a film to never leave a woman that could make us truly happy it's not one of the best films of all time that McConaughey starred in but it's still a very good one that had all the right intentions and i guess it did kinda find it's audience in a way.
A movie inspired by the classic "A Christmas tale". In this movie the theme is not Christmas spirit but superficiality, relations, sex and regret. In the beginning I was just irritable because of the main characters disgusting sexism which he never seemed to be able to put aside and stop with but as longer as I watched the better it became. Sure, the movie ended predictable and it contained a lot of clichés but despite that it was very nice and perfect to watch in one of those days when you don't want to watch something deep or complicated. The movie "Ghost of girlfriends past" is easygoing and has great actors. What takes down the rate is the clichés but despite that; nice and chill movie!
Connor and Jenny have known each other from childhood. But Connor goes on to have a broken heart after Jenny shares her first kiss with some other guy. Heartbroken Connor has a piece of advice from his playboy uncle which changes Connor for life. He and Jenny keep on running into each other and he gets reignited with his feelings. Both share some genuine moments which get ruined when Connor leaves midway. Will Connor turn a new leaf and woo back Jenny is the rest of the movie. What works is the simple story is told through ghosts of his past visiting Connor. They are alive people but meant to show as an apparition to show a mirror Connor's behavior. This movie is certainly watchable for people loving romantic comedies and Mathew and Jennifer shine in their roles. Michael Douglas looks well suited in his role as Connor's uncle and Emma stone looks funny.
I thought that there was really good chemistry between the two main characters. From an artistic standpoint, there were some plot elements and character developments I didn't think were totally needed. They do however drive the story, which seemed to be their purpose, so I can accept them. I liked the film for its message about commitment. I am not saying the film is a classic, but it was pleasant. The characters in this film have a lot of depth and the realism with which they are portrayed by the actors is shocking at times. I think the film is worth seeing. A true gem. A gritty, hard movie about gritty, hard people, but it's also intelligent.
