This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Excellent acting - mainly by Nicole and her mother. I especially loved the soothing calm and demeanor of the mom. It manages grief so very well, without being melodramatic (almost always).Story unfolds in an intriguing manner...cracks up gradually...with no jerks. You know whats going on, yet it looks interesting, not so predictable

This was pretty good, if somewhat painful to watch but made better by an above average cast. The story itself doesn't have many arcs, its unrelentingly gloomy, following a middle class couple 8 months after the death of their young son who was hit by a car while chasing their dog into the street. The grief displayed by Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart is raw and well portrayed in its many forms as the couple shun friends and neighbours while the icy 'Becca' tries to banish memories of her deceased son by disposing of his possessions and Howie lives in the past. They attend group therapy (together for a while) and Howie befriends the (pot smoking) Sandra Oh. Becca in turn secretly meets with the driver of the car that killed Danny and tries to come to terms with her sisters impending birth and her mothers own loss. This is a couple barely hanging on, its powerful and raw, often painful to watch but worth the effort for the convincing performances.I loved all the leads in this; Sandra Oh, Aaron Eckhart and Nicole Kidman always does a great job. In sub roles Dianne Wiest was fantastic and nice to see Giancarlo Esposito with his entire face. 10/5/16

Rabbit Hole is an intense portrayal of the grief and bereavement underwent by a suburban couple, Becca & Howie (Nicole Kidman & Aaron Eckhart), after the sudden and tragic demise of their only child. The film follows their straining relationship with each other and the people surrounding them in the wake of this tragedy, as they are trying to get themselves on track. The film starts post-tragedy, and as the story builds up, the viewers get a better picture of what happened in the past. The movie is a bit depressing at times, but I found it to be highly observant, especially in its examination of people trying to move on after having to go through such tragic events and their relationship with the outside world. The feature is based on a Pulitzer winning play of the same name written by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by John Cameron Mitchell. The film is backed by incredible acting from Nicole Kidman who starred as Becca, Aaron Eckhart who played Howie and Dianne Wiest who played Nat, Becca's mother. Kidman and Eckhart, two very talented actors, their performances were intense and realistic. Nicole Kidman just transforms herself into the grief-stricken mother struggling to numb her pain and at the same time, put on a smiling face before others; this might be one among her finest works. Aaron Eckhart, a fairly underutilized actor, showcases his real talent in this feature. I have never seen him doing such a moving role after Thank You for Smoking (2005). Nicole Kidman also produced the movie under the banner of her production company Blossom Films, this being the debut venture. This is a very insightful and honest movie, and this can be especially meaningful to those people who ever lost a loved one, be it their children, parents or anybody near. And it does end in a very hopeful undertone.

It really broke my heart when Nicole's character showed so much anger at Jehovah God. but she was right to say ? "Why not make another angel ,hes God after all . I mean Poof" So many Religions teach that the soul is immortal, but that is not the truth. God does not take people to heaven to be Angels.(Ecclesiastes 9 5, 10) tells the condition of the dead. 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. ...10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going. (Ecclesiastes 9 5, 10) My Mother is asleep in death, but I will be there when she wakes up in the resurrection on earth. Just as Jesus performed the resurrection of his friend Lazarus( John 11) and the 12 year old girl at( Mark 5:41) And, taking the hand of the young child, he said to her: "Tal′i·tha cu′mi," which, translated, means: "Maiden, I say to you, Get up!" 42 And immediately the maiden rose and began walking, for she was twelve years old. And at once they were beside themselves with great ecstasy.Since angels were serving God in heaven before the founding of the earth, the first man and woman were evidently not created to populate the heavens. ... "As regards the heavens, to Jehovah the heavens belong, but the earth he has given to the sons of men." ♥ I want to be a Gardner and grow beautiful , tasty foods.
