The First Time
Dave, a high school senior, spends most of his time pining away over a girl he can’t have. Aubrey, a junior with artistic aspirations, has a hot boyfriend who doesn’t quite understand her or seem to care. Although they go to different schools, Dave and Aubrey find themselves at the same party. When both head outside to get some air, they meet. A casual conversation sparks an instant connection, and, over the course of a weekend, things turn magical, romantic, complicated, and funny as Aubrey and Dave discover what it's like to fall in love for the first time.

That was an excellent one.
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
The acting in this movie is really good.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
I had been waiting to see this movie for a while and I don't feel I was let down. I love Dylan and Britt, and they work really great together. The movie was written very well in my opinion, and showed really just how awkward and hilarious being a teenager is. I really would've liked an epilogue of some sort at the end to wrap it up a bit better, and tie up the loose ends. I also would've liked some more information on their backgrounds in how their characters developed. All in all I did adore this movie, but there were definitely things that could've been better.
Where exactly was the comedy in this? Bad acting all the way around. If you're looking for a good funny movie, this definitely wasn't it.
There are lots of teen movies about romance and love and all the things around them, that are actually kinda good, but this film was unrealistically bad. It has NO plot and no character. Very awkward and boring to watch and the acting is really bad. The "couple's" meeting goes very fast and in some points you don't even understand what's going on, having met in one day and the next day they are in love. Not even worth your time.
For a chick-flick, this is a lovely movie. I was forced to watch it & the pacing, the filmography-- everything fell into place accordingly. It's a lovely directed movie that speaks out realism in the perspective of teens. What I liked about this movie; regardless of what those two main characters were thinking of, be it rational or not, they still fell into that mistake due to "modernism" (quoting Aubrey herself) and the confusion caused by the society itself-- pretty much peer pressure in an indirect way. Although the raging hormones do play a significant role. The actors were adorable. I couldn't help but to "ship" them secretly in my head "JUST KISS ALREADY" was all I could mouth. They both interacted genuinely and sincerely, both being traditional & mature yet dying with curiosity of what people fuss about that is considered the most greatest thing in the act of humanity. The ending gave that positive light- a bit whimsical but still one should put an effort into conveying his/her feelings. Can't say it's the WOW girl movie, but certainly one of the nicest flicks I've seen out there. I won't mind seeing it again. Good rating cause in good mood. Blame it on the movie :)
