Chernobyl Diaries
A group of six tourists looking to go off the beaten path, hire an 'extreme tour guide' who, ignoring warnings, takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but now a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years earlier. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, the group members find themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone.

Good story, Not enough for a whole film
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
The movie is absolutely meaningless and the way they were killed was convincing enough and I think this was one of the worst horror movies to be made.
Look, if you're going to use a setting as iconic and well documented as Pripyat or Chernobyl, you need to get your facts straight. I understand that this was a low budget horror flick, but if you can't even get the iconic ferris wheel right, maybe you should rethink what you're doing. Also, a basic understanding of the effects of radiation on the human body leaves the ending laughably impossible. Pile on that the myriad photos of reactor 4 entombed in its sarcophagus and I spent the last 20 minutes just waiting for it all to be over. There's just no way those folks would have gotten into that reactor. If you want an atmospheric horror flick that uses the premise of murderous mutants stalking around an irradiated, abandoned town done well, do yourself a favor and watch John Carpenter's The Hills Have Eyes.
The premise of the movie is no different the movies The Hills have Eyes and The Hills have Eyes 2. People that are living in an area contaminated by radiation. Find people in there area. Abduct them at night. Kill some for food. And maybe even use the women for reproduction. Non affected Russians/Ukraine's know of the people and cover up their being at Chernobyl and any survivors are then thrown to them to get rid of evidence.A Very close plot to the Hills Have Eyes but at Chernobyl. I feel could have been better by showing the animals also have mutated. None of the animals seemed to have been affected by the radiation but the humans/fish have.
I have seen this movie like a thousand times and I still never get sick of it. It is by far my favourite movie. It's not like the other typical horror movies with the annoying background music when there's suspense. This movie is nice and realistic, no over the top background horror music, the camera movements are awesome. The actors are amazing and not too well known but I love everything about it. I didn't really know about the Chernobyl nuclear disaster but after watching this movie I was so interested I decided to search up the actual thing. I'm still trying to find a movie similar to Chernobyl Diaires it's so hard but I don't think I'll be over this movie anytime soon. Love It. Be awesome if they made a part 2 or something rather.
