I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
A waste of 90 minutes of my life
I found this film so annoying that I stopped watching TV and went and read a book while listening to music. I wanted to shout at the TV "'phone a lawyer you idiots. I can't believe that it is based on a true story.
I stumbled upon this film about a week ago and decided to see it since the premise seemed quite interesting and now it just won't leave my mind. I'm not going to give anything away when it comes to the story itself since I think the film will have an even greater effect if you don't know anything about it.It is almost impossible to believe that this is based on a true story. My thoughts towards the end of the film were that they surely added some events purely for dramatic purposes but it turns out that everything actually happened like already mentioned in some of the previous reviews. What went through the minds of all the people involved in this story and why they made such incomprehensible decisions and the light bulb above their heads never went on is beyond me. I realise that psychological experiments have been made in the past on the subject of obeying authority with some shocking results but this story is just insanely hard to believe. The film will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time and definitely provoke a strong reaction. The acting was very good and seemed natural, same goes for direction and of course the pace.If you you like thought provoking films that don't leave you cold and you can debate them with your friends for days to come this is definitely for you. It is a very well made film that you shouldn't miss.
This movies is the dumbest movies I have ever seen in my life. There is a fine line between being stupid and down right missing a brain. I'm not quiet sure why or who in the world is like that. There wear many moments where I almost Wanted to turn off the movie of how frustrated I was. Poorly made movie, poor acting, it's beyond explaining how naive people can be in the world. It almost reminded me of the Elizabeth Smart Case. for those who know about that unfortunate incident. Do not waste your time with this movie !!!!! I definitely would not recommend anyone with any common sense to watch this movie as it does get quiet frustrating.
If it weren't for the compulsory 1 star rating then I would happily be giving this film 0 stars. Firstly the plot is an absolute disgrace with absolutely no plausibility, especially the scene where the protagonist is required to be spanked as part of a police investigation. Frustration would be an understatement to describe how I felt whilst watching this 'film', a film certainly shouldn't evoke emotions that want the individual to smash the TV whilst watching it. Other than this and the sub standard acting that accompanied it the film seems determined to portray American's as mindless idiots, unable to use their rational facilities. In fact I think this film resemble more of a mockumentary than a film that merits a average 6.4 rating. Quite frankly Craig Zobel should be ashamed of himself as a director and this monstrosity he has created. Ps I am aware of the appalling use of grammar in this review but I feel my frustration at the movie has driven to sacrifice a proper use of the English language. Your disgustedly Dr Emmanuel rent
