I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

After many years serving in Police Squad, and numerous criminals gunned down, Frank Drebin has retired but still dreams of fighting crime. When Police Squad learn that incarcerated terrorist Rocco Dillon is planning another outrage; to discover his target they ask Frank to return for one last case… much to the annoyance of his wife Jane. Frank goes to prison undercover and is put in Rocco's cell; he isn't there for long though as shortly after befriending Rocco the pair break out. Once out they are picked up by Rocco's mother then meet up with his voluptuous girlfriend Tanya. It emerges that Rocco is planning to bomb the Oscar ceremony with a device planted in one of the winners envelopes… if Frank is to stop him he will have to get up on stage and retrieve the envelope… hopefully nobody will notice! As one would expect this film is full of laughs from start to finish. It opens with a very funny spoof of a famous scene from 'The Untouchables', itself a reference to the 'Odessa Steps' scene in 'Battleship Potemkin. Plenty more films are spoofed/referenced throughout the film; most notably 'White Heat', 'The Great Escape' and 'Thelma and Louise'… these are fun extras for those who get the references but it doesn't matter if one doesn't realise another film is being referenced as they are funny in their own right. The humour is of course very forced but that doesn't matter… it is trying to be silly fun and succeeds. Leslie Nielsen is great as Drebin; managing to act straight even when his character is being utterly ridiculous. Some of the supporting cast are a bit ropy but that doesn't matter as they provide some extra accidental laughs. The humour is fairly slapstick and for the most part inoffensive; there are some gags that make the film unsuitable for younger viewers… unless parents feel comfortable explaining the joke about Frank giving numerous 'samples' at a fertility clinic! Overall a funny conclusion to this hilarious trilogy.

Starts OK, but goes from bad to worse. The last third is pretty Unwatchable. The script can't handle even a short movie of 82 minutes (of which 7 minutes are end credits!). Seems like something went wrong there. In addition, it has too many references to other movies and they are also way too long. There are simply too many cheap laughs.O.J. Simpson and Anna Nicole Smith are simply awful. This is a pretty weak ending to the trilogy, which is a shame since the first movie was hilarious (and IIRC so was the TV series on which it's based).

The Third entry of the Naked Gun Trilogy is my second favorite Naked Gun film. In my opinion I think is way better than the second installment The Smell of Fear. I love Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult to death! There are reason I thought the second flick was a little bit rushed and I kind a felt bored with it. This flick is the opposite of the second sequel, it fast paced, funny, entertaining and it has completely different written characters. Leslie Nielsen kicks ass in this movie! I love it almost the same as I love the first film, just the first one will be the best and a classic flick. This is the second one I love. Leslie Nielsen returned as LT. Frank Drebin for the third time in The Naked Gun Trilogy. This time The Final Insult was directed from different director Peter Segal and not David Zucker.Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult is very underrated solid comedy flick that stick back to the formula of the first film, the movie combine elements from "The Untouchables", "Thelma & Louise" and "The Brady Bunch". It is everything I love about this film. Leslie Nielsen returns as Lieutenant Frank Drebin (his original character from Police Squad!), along with Priscilla Presley as Jane Spencer Drebin, O. J. Simpson (his last film released before the notorious murders and his subsequent trial) as Officer Nordberg and George Kennedy as Captain Ed Hocken. Newcomers to the series Fred Ward, Anna Nicole Smith, and Kathleen Freeman co-star as a gang of bombers set to blow up the Academy Awards ceremony. Raye Birk reprises his role as the villainous "Pahpshmir" from The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!.Plot: Police Lt. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) gets called out of retirement and sent to prison on an undercover assignment. His mission: Learn how terrorist Rocco Dillon (Fred Ward) plans to blow up the academy Awards ceremony. Jane (Priscilla Presley), is desperate for a baby.. this adds to Frank's problems. But when duty calls, Drebin answers! I love that character development in this film, I love that Frank goes to prison as undercover cellmate prisoner I really love that. In this prison you have Randall 'Tex' Cobb as an inmate, you have a fight in the diner, a baseball game and an escape plan. I love Fred Ward as the bad guy in this film. Earl Boen returns as another shrink from The Terminator trilogy. But what this film has is beautiful gorgeous sexy Anna Nicole Smith! She is so beautiful this was her first big role in a movie and I fall in love with her immediately. She was awesome as Rocco's girl Tanya Peters.Reality TV star, actress and former model Anna Nicole Smith has died after collapsing in Hollywood, Florida. On February 8, 2007 (aged 39) Hollywood, Broward County, Florida, U.S The 39-year-old was found unconscious in her hotel room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino yesterday afternoon. According to hotel officials, Smith was "unresponsive" and emergency crews performed Cpr at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel and transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. She died at 2:49 pm ET. Anna Nicole Smith died one month earlier before my beloved mom died over her heart failure. The Year 2007 was horrible year for me, until I found out Anna also died the same year one month earlier that mom died. R.I.P. Anna Nicole Smith (1967 - 2007) you were an intelligent beautiful sexy model and a gorgeous actress.Another actress I want to congratulate for her acting performance is Priscilla Presley as Jane Spencer, I love her character in this movie she wasn't annoying character like she was in the second one I love that they do something with her character. I love that she was a tough girl, a bad ass and she even regret her mistake by forcing Frank to retired, like she did in the second one. This movie was more funny I laugh more a lot than in the second one I did, I have enjoy this film, because you can never laugh in the movie and that's what I did in the second one that is third one is the way for me. This is a solid film at least better in my opinion as the second move The Smell of Fear. What can I say? I love this movie oh and by the way Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult was released the same year as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective come out. I also like the addition of the bad guys Fred Ward has his mother as her accomplice, I love the slapstick in this movie it is a bad-ass! I love the terrorist plot blowing Academy awards ceremony. This is a enjoyable way to end "The Naked Gun" film series. This flick get's a solid 9 out of 10.Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult is a 1994 comedy film, and the third and final installment in The Naked Gun film series, which was based on the Police Squad! television series.9/10 Grade: A Studio: Paramount Pictures Starring: Leslie Nielsen, Priscilla Presley, George Kennedy, O.J. Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult is a hilarious movie with a decent storyline and yet again another brilliant and comedic performance from Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin. Its definitely not as good as the outstanding first Naked Gun,one of the funniest comedies ever made in my opinion, but I thought it was an improvement from the first Naked Gun,I thought there was a lot more hilarious scenes in this one and I really enjoyed the scenes at the Academy Awards towards the end of the movie. Some people may disagree, but I think this Naked Gun is an improvement over the second one and fans of the first won't enjoy it as much, but they will laugh a lot.Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) must convince a gang that he is also a criminal in order to stop a bomb from being set off at the Academy Awards.
