If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

This is the second season of High School musical series. Summer vacation is big theme in the movie. In this season, all attractive characters sing, dance and be in love. Summer is the best season for their, I think. I think that songs and dances of this season are the best than all High School Musical series. I had danced to What Time Is It in sports day when I was a junior high school student. So, especially, I like this song in the movie. In this season, there are many gloom scenes, but I think that this season need for High School Musical series. With those quarrels or conflicts make the characters grow, I think. It is essential part.

I liked this one a little bit better then the first movie. Once again, I did come up with some parts that I found out of sync.1. Why on earth did Troy slide on his stomach after the opening song? 2. Why did Troy look left first when Gabriella's locker was on the right? Wouldn't he know by now where her locker is? 3. How would the entire kitchen staff be students from East High? Did they not have any other workers before? 4. All these kids were complaining about how they couldn't get jobs and then they get a job at a country club. Talk about one of the best jobs you could ask for as a high schooler. Somehow they find a way to complain about it.5. In "You Are the Music in Me" Troy and Gabriella hardly ever look at the music and somehow know all the words. Also there are drums being played and there are background singers that don't exist.6. When talking to the U of A board members, one of them mentions Troy's game winning shot. Troy then tells him that wouldn't have happened if his teammates didn't steal the ball. The only problem is that Troy was the one who stole the ball.7. Troy gets promoted to a job that gives him $500 per week, which would equal out to $26,000 a year. There is no way he would get paid that for what he was doing, especially with no past experience.8. Chad apparently plays baseball, but handles the bat as if he doesn't know what baseball is.9. Troy explains that he's acting the way he is for the scholarship and Gabriella responds with pretty soon that's who you become. Oh yea, a high school junior is a real expert on life, right? 10. Troy asks Sharpay what was the first thing she said to him there and they say we're all in this together. She did say that to him, but it wasn't even close to the first thing said, that was more like "Hey boys, so Troy, I thought it was time for you to meet my parents".11. There is no way Troy could have learned "Every day" in its entirety in such a short time.12. Everyday is another song where there is a mysterious drummer hiding somewhere.13. The Evans' father is always telling Ryan to fix his hat, including after he wins the star dazzle award, but his hat is perfectly straight at that moment.14. If you got Miley Cyrus on your set, why only show her for 4 seconds? Yay, 4 less then the first movie! Good movie though.

This sequel is different than the first because it takes place during summer vacations, in the Sharpay's local club. Here we will see the jealousy of Gabriella about Troy. He doesn't will give interest for her because bad girl Sharpay will court him. They will play golf together and Troy will also meet his favorite basket-ball team.I preferred this episode to the first mostly for the songs, the first song is my favorite. I felt this episode was a bit longer than the first one, maybe because it take place in a summer club, but if they did another episode in high school, i think we called it "remake". I would like preferred something else.

I don't even know where to start. I thought the first HSM movie was bad, but this is just beyond anything...As I do with my reviews, I will split them into the 'Good' section and the 'Bad' section. Lets start with the good. Nothing. There is nothing good with this movie. Now the bad.... 1)Cheesy. Everything about it is so 'Oh my god, it's summer, time to party!'. It's the best form of this stereotype that 16 year olds like to 'party' and 'sing and dance' and they're all totally cool because they've got the 'Wildcats'. Well, sorry but that just isn't the truth... 2)Characters are... well. I have no idea how to describe how bad the casting is. Zac, Vanessa, and whatever they're names are are terrible. 'Sharpay' as far as I know isn't even a name (correct me on this is necessary)!! 3)Storyline. It sucked. Sharpay is the typical stroppy, spoilt rich girl who is the 'baddie'. Troy and Gabriella are the 'goodies' who know that 'love keeps them together' (ohh, how romantic, NOT!). And of course, just like the last film, Troy is 'torn' between his basketball friends and his love life. And everything goes down hill and all seems like Troy is on his own, but no! Suddenly everybody is friends again, and they're all love each other. And that means, Singing! Half of it doesn't make sense, and the rest of it is appalling! 4)Music. Dear God help us all. Disney is famous for making films with catchy songs. Disney Channel is good at making catchy songs that are awful. Why do you need to sing about 'swinging a baseball bat'? Sorry, 'hey bat-a-bat, hey bat-a-bat, sway'. there's no need to just break into song. And it's hypercritical of itself-'HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL'. Should be called 'GOLD COURSE/SUMMER CAMP/POSH RESORT OWNED BY SOME RICH GIRLS 'DADDY' MUSICAL'.I could go on. There is so much wrong with this film. If you like it, take a few moments to consider what you are watching, the music in it and the actors. This isn't a good film. It's appalling. It's a messed up rip-off of a musical about some pathetic love life all on a gold course full of cliché's. And it's not even in a High School!
