Very best movie i ever watch
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Cool gadgets and good martial arts moves don't necessarily mean that the movie is great to watch. No real chemistry between the main characters, and the flawless Christoph Waltz's scenes makes these the only remarkable ones of an otherwise unremarkable movie made to appeal to an younger generation that doesn't care about it. Skip this one to a time when you don't have anything else worth watching. 4 out of 10 to the whole movie. 8 out of 10 to Waltz's efforts in making it better than it really is.
Not that it was bad, but more like it was not thrilling. I myself am a huge comic-book fan, and was very interested into learning about the style of this hero and his movie portrayal, without looking at public opinion first. Which i'm glad for. The first act is kind of crappy and stolen parts from other superhero movies, the acting had potential but was stopped by dialog, the villain wasn't psychopathic enough, and the Green Hornet acted like a jerk in half the movie making you wish Kato would kick his butt already (spoiler). Though the second half had some thrill, good action, chase seen, plot rapped up, funny ending. The costumes, weapons, cars and fight scenes are probably the best parts in the movie, and the character of Green Hornet and Kato in it of themselves were interesting. I think i would want to see the 1966 series because of this movie. They didn't hit the standard of 2011, but it's still nice to see once as a good comic-book movie, especially for kids at preteen age. I think they might enjoy it the most.
I first saw this movie at my uncle's house and i thought is was good, so now i own the DVD movie and i actually love it. i love the part where Seth Rogen Said's "My coffee taste like S***". And i also love the part later on in the movie when jay Chou said's "I go with you, but i Don't wanna touch you". I think Seth Rogen is a good comedian actor and also think jay Chou is a good actor as well. The whole film is pretty good and the action. I was surprise to see Cameron Diaz in the film playing Seth Rogen's security (something like that). I love this film and will keep it as always. I also think jay Chou is cute in the movie, and i used to have a crush on him but not anymore.I am not a Seth Rogen fan but i have to admit that he is a funny guy.
When Van Williams and the great Bruce Lee made The Green Hornet and Kato famous back in 1966, who would have thought that 45 years later in 2011 that funny-man Seth Rogen and Jay Chou would team up and suit up in the Green & Black suits to keep the tradition alive? I don't think none of us saw that coming. I have to give director Michael Gondry his props, he delivered a one-of-a-kind movie that has started the new year off with a bang, slap, ka-bow. Incredible!!!! I can't leave out the wonderful supporting cast. We have seen her in Gangs of New York, we've learned that there was Something About Mary – Cameron Diaz delivered in this movie. And who can't forget about the villain – Chudnofsky aka Bloodnofsky (I guess I spelled that correctly) – Christoph Waltz was awesome. I was expecting a cheesy movie, but I got a rib-eye steak and a baked potato – this movie was off-the-hook.
