Just perfect...
hyped garbage
It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.
The plot interest in this is that its set on Alcatraz. Apart from that nothing stands out, except that its surprising Levar Burton took this gig. Nothing really stands out as noteworthy or worth remembering.
Review: As soon as I saw the zombies at the beginning of the movie, I lost total interest. Not only did they look completely stupid, the storyline that followed afterwards was really weak and uninteresting. The acting also didn't help and the ridiculous scene with the dead lady and the baby just went to far. As usual, the promoters put Danny Trejo on the front cover when he isn't really in the movie. The few scenes that he did have were promising but they didn't last long. As for the storyline, the whole vaccine search for the zombies has been used to death so the concept wasn't that great. I think that you can tell that I didn't enjoy this movie at all so keep this one off of your rental list. Bad!Round-Up: I honestly think that the director was trying to make a cheap version of I Am Legend, but failing miserably. I wasn't expecting that much from the film so I wasn't overally disappointed, but I was expecting some sort of entertainment. Like most of his movies, Trejo seems like he's just in it for the quick payday and the other acting are just happy to be on screen. Mariel Hemingway used to be quite popular in her earlier years, but she has really gone down hill. The same goes for LeVar Burton who used to be in the Star Trek series with them weird thinks over his eyes. Basically there isn't anything good to say about the film.I recommend this movie to people who are into there zombie movies about a group of people trying to find the vaccine to cure the killer zombies. 1/10
We finally watched this on the SciFi channel over the weekend and I still am not sure whether to call it a Horror movie or a Comedy Horror. It was actually so terrible that I laughed at the cheesy plot and 'effects' throughout the entire movie while wondering what happened to Levar Burton's career that drove him to appear in this. And French Stewart and Mariel Hemingway playing scientists was so completely unbelievable that it still gives me giggles thinking about it.The zombie baby looks just like the one from the most recent retake of Dawn of the Dead and was probably created by the same effects company. Both the birth scene and the doll/zombie baby was laughably bad.
Worst movie that i've ever seen. First time that i tried to watch it, i only saw it for 10 minutes, because it was very boring, but a days later i gave it a second chance, but i only watch it for 25 minutes, because i confirmed that it was very bad.The main cast is awful, the zombies and the special effects are very bad. I can't believe that this movie is from 2012, a movie from the 50's can be very much more real than this crapI love zombies movies and zombies tvshows, and this movie is by far the worst i've ever seenDon't waste your time watching this thing called movie
