It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

In the post-apocalyptic Australian wasteland, a cynical drifter agrees to help a small, gasoline rich, community escape a band of bandits. Mad Max 2 not only is a better film than the original but also has a much more interesting storyline. Max has completely gone Mad here and Miller doesn't need to showcase action sequence after action sequence to show us that. We basically see his every day life, his haunt for gasoline but also those bandits that he has to face and i think the villains were much more interesting in this one plus Vernon Wells once again delivers the madness within. Mad Max II is a Classic!!!

The budget for Road Warrior was higher than the first Mad Max, but almost all of the money is spent on cars and locations, so the gritty spirit of Mad Max remained. The higher budget ends up being a huge plus; it was Miller's vision of Mad Max with the limits cut off. It is also a complete abandonment from the old Max. The first Mad Max revolved around an attempt to live peacefully in a world gone mad, whereas The Road Warrior is the wasteland itself. The Road Warrior feels like an insane, yet godly, fuel-injected nightmare. It is a place Max did not choose to be, but embraces as his reality, for after the death of his wife and child, it is all he knows. It was in this blighted place that he learned to live again.

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is one of the greatest 80's action movies of all time. A Inovative,Brilliant and Masterpiece flick, and event today is a super influence for the action genre, for car chases and post-apocalyptic genre... Great narration, script, acting, direction, ideas and so much thing Mel Gibson and George Miller are genius. You don't need to see the first one. **** the first one. It's trash compared to this piece of work. This one has barely anything to do with the first one anyhow, despite the main character. This is the best sequel ever made. It's also one of the greatest movies ever made in general. The movie that introduced the world to what apocalyptic movies are like.
