Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Poor Cinematic. Actors have poor acting (except for Gerard Butler). Story is dull.
This movie was a journey that went to a lot of places but still didn't go anywhere. There were good actors in this movie but the dialogue was just comical. The CGI was also in some places like Play-Doh stop motion. It was such a mess this movie that it ended up being somewhat entertaining. Watch it just so you can have a giggle that they spent 140 million making it and have just this to show for it.
Considering I do not like SciFi fantasy type movies I was able to sit through this one happily. The poor reviews are not warranted or justified. People are too picky, wanting accuracy in a work of fiction. It is not a documentary so why evaluate it on a false premise. The acting was solid and convincing. The storyline kept one interested. It was clever with the technology and graphics. Overall, a decent movie made in Sydney, Australia, on a fairly small budget.
Sure, it's not a legendary classic that deserves to be watched again and again, but I thoroughly enjoyed chilling out to it on my sofa for 2 hours. Great acting, cool effects and interesting storyline. No big surprises, but genuinely entertaining. People who give this movie a low score are not rating it for its quality of entertainment. Sometimes the low scores on IMDB are well-deserved, but we all have seen examples where it isn't (which is an interesting phenomenon in itself) - this is one of those movies where the score is clearly inaccurate for some reason.
