Surprisingly incoherent and boring
While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
Ir lacks of good songs and got poor history. I loved Frozen movie, but this short-movie is so bad that you only expect to end as soon as possible.
Don't review it badly because it 'wasted your time'. How many of you actually worry about how long a movie is or bother to see how long it is in the first place? You're sitting down at an over priced movie but this wastes your time? Okay.I don't particularly like Frozen as it's just been played too many times and even though I find it annoying this was cute. I liked it and it was refreshing. To people complaining about "OH WHY did they put it before Coco?!" He is trying to find family traditions for Anna and Elsa. He is trying to find FAMILY TRADITIONS before a movie about family and traditions! It fits, shocker I know.Regardless, it was cute. The animation was nothing short of the quality you'd expect. The story is cute and light-hearted and a nice short for the holiday season. Stop being scrooges people.
Why didn't they just run this on TV in the first place instead of making everyone suffer through it before they could see Coco?? Even if Disney hadn't made us watch this, it still fails on most levels. From what I heard and saw before, I wasn't expecting something grand like the original movie, but at least something tolerable. I didn't get that. What I got was forgettable songs, jokes that mostly fell flat, and a dumb story. All I can praise is a couple jokes that made me chuckle, along with the animation and voice acting, which Disney usually gets right anyway. At least Coco was good enough to make me say it was worth sitting through this cash-grab, but I'd say it was only BARELY worth it. No, that's not saying anything about Coco. It just says how painful this was.
Not much of a Frozen fan myself, I was forced to watch this 30 minute long "short-film" before Coco. And unlike other Pixar shorts, this one isn't that well-crafted. It's kind of a waste of time to be honest. I was questioning if I was even in the right theater at first. The good side I guess, is that just reflects in comparison how good a movie Coco was. Well hope y'all enjoyed Coco in the end!
