The Jerky Boys
When two unemployed telephone pranksters decide to use their vocal "talents" to impersonate a Chicago mob boss and curry favor with organized crime in New York, the trouble begins. It isn't long before Johnny and Kamal (the "Jerky Boys" of crank call fame) are wanted by the local mafia, the police, and their neighbor.

Sadly Over-hyped
Let's be realistic.
Best movie ever!
I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
If you were hip to the boys back in the day doing their prank calls, then you will love this movie. They were just ahead of the tech age that would have made their phone calls a lot more problematic, legally. Just before caller ID was a basic in all homes, the Jerky Boys made their way from home to home and business to business making me laugh my ass off. The characters these guy created sting ring in my ears. The catch phrases and insults. Beautiful. If you can appreciate dumb humor then you may end up loving this movie. If you are a hater of movies like Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura, Little Nicky, etc... then don't bother. You won't laugh and you will end up coming here and putting the boys down. Then I'll have to split you from your nuts to the back of your ass as Johnny once said. Dont worry Bottle Nose, you'll love it or else!
a movie featuring Ozzy Osbourne, a Monkees Reference, Ali Tarbash, Tom Jones singing a Killer Rendition of a Lenny Kravitz Hit. and Johnny Brennan and Kamal plus Alan Arkin, and all those former Members of the hit show the Sopranos. He called you fruity ass. The people who gave this movie a one have no idea what a hit is.Even the opening Credits are great. When the Caravan pictures promo comes on and Johnny Brennan and Kamal start ripping on the guy walking away on the screen. And say come back shane. Think the Barney Look alike should have gotten more time. I even liked the Deleted scenes they only showed in the regular Television version of the movie. The Jerky Boys are Pranking Fools. Wish I had them to call my Boss, or the people I work for and give them headaches.
I never laughed so hard in my life! The language is quite raw, so those with sensitive ears should find an edited-for-tv version, and if you're looking for academy-award-winning material, pass this one up...but if you're just looking to have fun and laugh yourself stupid, this video is a must-see! My sides ached for three days after watching this movie. Johnny Brennan nad Kamal Ahmed are two of the funniest comedians that have ever rolled into public view. These are just two guys having fun and taking you with them, as if you had an extremely hilarious brother and his equally funny best friend. And EVERYbody has had a Brent Weir in their life at one point...and its a scream how they torment him throughout the film! If you're not anal about perfection but just like to let your hair down and have fun without judgement, grab this one up. You really wont regret it!!
just think of it this way... If we lived in a world where everything was the opposite, it would be one of the finest movies ever made. But we live in the real world, so avoid it. If you must watch it, just mourn the loss of time and money and celluloid wasted on this.
