Hindi Medium
Mita and Raj Batra, an affluent couple from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, are grappling with getting their daughter admission into an English medium school. But there is one big problem. Their zubaan is Hindi, and the elitist snobs won’t let the Hindi speaking hoi-polloi fit in.

A waste of 90 minutes of my life
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
I lost interest in the movie after Pia's parents moved to a slum to make their daughter eligible for the underprivileged quota. You just can't move to a slum from an affluent neighborhood, that is not possible when you long for aristocracy. That won't even suit your children. And the movie portrayed poor people like they are not (most of them to be exact) completely civilized, you need to be a loudmouth bully to live with them. Movie shows how slum dwellers react when they see an Aedes mosquito. Horrible depiction of lives of slum dwellers. Positive things are there too, it shows some of those those poverty stricken people have good hearts. Overall, the movie has some positive messages, but too much unreality and overacting.
The film tackles the subject of ludicrous education industry of India and the class division. With wonderful performances from Irrfan Khan, Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal, the film entertains with the focus on how and what Indians regard as classy. But the film never reaches its full potential, it touches a lot of areas but doesn't expand on it. There are a lot of problems in both government and private schools other than just the admission parts which are not focused but out of ignorance(?) glorified.
The movie 'Hindi Medium' delivers a very serious message in a very fun way.I can at least assure you that you will have a smile on your face for most part of the movie .The movie is very much relatable and people of all ages can watch it and enjoy it.The story is really nice and every character in the movie has done a great job in the movie, especially Irfan Khan has shown again why he is one of the best actor of our country.I would surely reccomend this movie to everyone cause it will change your perspective.
Saket Chaudary has a done marvelous job of creating such a beautiful movie which is packed with humour, love, and a deep look into the education system of our country.the directer saket has directed this more of a satirical-comedy way, so that every viewer can lay back and enjoy it with a popcorn. That way it will also give the movie much more viewers. Now a days people love watching movies as a stress reliever , so they look for a movie which is kind hearted, fun, romance and Hindi Medium fits the bill.We all know the current education system is all about money and quality rather than education. I live in Kerala so i don't know whether some scenes portrayed in the movie about taking admissions in high level school's is true or not (it happens in Kerala but i don't think its anywhere nearer to it). But if its true then the country is spoiled big time . There is a scene where irfan khan says other countries are fine with wrong vocabulary of English and if we Indians make one single error, then he/she doesn't have a value in the society. This is so true in the current society and it has been portrayed so beautifully. i could go on about the story and scenes but its better you enjoy it yourself rather than hearing it from a stranger.we all know irfan khan is an absolutely stunning actor, here he is the uneducated Indian and that especially create a lot of funny scenes, the role of the father is safe as it can get in the hands of irfan. he is the heartbeat of the movie. saba qamar as a mother craves for quality has been portrayed so brilliantly,we can relate her to our so called "english loving neighbours". irfan- saba combinations scenes are also feels very real. Deepak Dobriyal as Shyamprakash was superb and needs special mention. All the kids requires special congratulation for their performance. If you loved English vinglish, which has similar theme then this one is tailor made for you.
