Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Disappointing comedy-drama with a sentimental coating has Michael J. Fox ideally cast as a former child star who now runs a talent agency for thespian tots; brother Nathan Lane and Cyndi Lauper are his assistants. This all sounds as if it can't miss, however too much of the scenario is given over to strident Christina Vidal as a streetwise tyke whom Fox believes will be the next big thing. They quickly lock horns, and the bantering, back-and-forth dialogue takes them to an uninteresting, formulaic finish. Fox and Lane are both appealing, but the energy of the early scenes gives way to treacle. Slickly-produced, but ultimately stale. *1/2 from ****
This is a great movie and michael J. Fox does excellent in this role! This is the movie that marked the beginning of the career of christina vidal, although some others may not agree I thought she did great. As the little tough girl from the streets of brooklyn she does an excellent job. This movie is something I bought after seeing this on HBO and to me is a classic. This is definitley worth a look and I give it 4 1/2 to 5 out of 5 stars. One thing to know about this movie. Don't think about it. JUST WATCH!
Take a couple of great actors and give them a poor script and not even they can't make it good. This film had its moments, but the only real memorable ones are during the child stars' auditions. All in all, I remember it being really funny when I was younger and now I found it watchable, but nothing special, and especially not in my top five or even ten. I was actually surprised that there were so many positive reviews on here.
This movie has a great summary. The Stars (Michael J. Fox, Nathan Lane, David Krumholtz,) are great. It's about a casting agent trying to get a girl to star in a commercial. It has a great ending, and I recommend, that all comedy lovers watch it.
